Running it out is key for Texas Method. Also balancing VD and ID offset as well as making sure you eat and sleep enough.

Earlier in my TM career, I found that 90% offset between volume day and intensity day worked well. Now, 90% of ID for 5x5 is too much to recover from in five days. I'm currently doing ~85% of ID for 5x5. You may want to consider dropping the percentage, or decreasing tonnage in other ways (4 sets, or read Andy's 5 ways to 5x5 article).
