Programming suggestion
Hello everyone!I need some opinions regarding the texas method and the setup i made for myself.I'm 22 years old,around 90 kilos and my current personal bests are:
squat 5RM 157,7 kg
bench 5RM 115 kg
press 5RM 70 kg
deadlift 5RM 180kg
I've been following the original texas method setup for almost 2 months and I managed to up every lift constantly(bench was a little sloppy).I feel the need to switch things up to avoid monotony and considering that i love being in the gym i came up with a 4 day split:
Volume presses+assistance:
Bench/Press 5x5 85%of 5RM 25 reps
Press/Bench 3x6-8 90% of 5x5 20-25 reps
LTE 3x10 30 reps
Volume squat+pulls:
Squat 5x5 85% of 5 RM 25 reps
RDL 3x6-8 20-25 reps
Rows 3x6-8 20-25 reps
Light squat,press and pulls
Front Squat 2x5
Press/Bench 2x5
Pullups 3x10 30 reps
Weighted back extensions 3x10 30 reps
Intensity squat,press,deadlift
Squat up to 5RM
Bench/Press up to 5 RM
Deadlift up to 5 RM
Curls 3x10 30 reps
What do you guys think?
