    Hi Andy,
Couple questions after missing 4 months after making nice gains on your S &M after 40.
A little background and previous RM's
    48 y/o 5'6 185lbs
    Sq 340 3x5
    BP 260 3x5
    Press 165 3x5
    DL 365 3x5

Made nice progress and really enjoyed it but missed the last 4 months and want to resume. My plan is to do a one lift a day program (3x5) while adding 10lbs a week to the squat and DL and 5lbs to press and bench until getting back to my previous numbers. I figure with the deload this will take about 5-6 weeks. Then I will resume the program as written with the alternating rep ranges.

    Two questions
    1. Is this reasonable
    2. Regarding the deadlift. Worried that 3x5 across for 5-6 weeks may fry me out? Plan to do the the first set with double overhand and then hook grip with the other 2 sets with straps. Before I used straps for 5's and 3's and hook grip for singles.

    Thanks Andy
    Steve

    1. Absolutely
    2. If you want to LP your DL for the next 6 weeks you can probably just do 1x5. When you up the volume later, perform your first work set with hook or alternating grip. Perform back off sets with straps
