Early TM issues
Hi Andy,
I recently finished running the novice linear progression on my squats. Took my squat from 135 lbs to 285 lbs in about 4 months. Started texas method last week. Did 5x5 at 245 on Monday, 2x5 at 195 on Wednesday and went for 1x5 at 275 on Friday. Even though I had previously done 3x5 at 275 towards the end of my linear progression, I could only manage to get 3 reps on my Friday workout. In the interest of full disclosure I took a week off after ending my linear progression, I had a stressful first week due to a death in the family so I wasn't sleeping or eating great, however I was still pretty dismayed that I couldn't knock out that 1 set of 5 reps on my first week. Should I take the weight down next week or just eat/sleep better and give it another go? Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

Get your sleep and eating in order and try it one more time.
