    Hi Andy.

Could heavy/light be done with template like:
Day 1: heavy squat + light bench
Day 2: light deadlift + heavy press
Day 3: light squat + heavy bench
Day 4: heavy dealift + light press

Obviously this would be done 3day/week schedule like mon/wed/fri or similar.

Yeah, that'd probably work pretty good actually

I did basically that mon tues thurs fri, for quite a while. Except instead of light deads, I just screwed around with whatever I felt like doing (snatches, chins, power naps...).

Thanks for responding. I thought it would probably work, but its not too common way to set things up. At least it makes scheduling pretty flexible...
And yeah, I just try to grease the groove on my power naps sporkboy.

Is there a reason you wouldn't do that on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri? What am I missing?

You could set this up on a 3 day or 4 day schedule.

Something to think about for op that i have had success with and can be a good mental break from the comp lifts is when you go back to 5's across use a different variation for both the heavy and light day then as you progress to your triples, doubles, singles go back to main lifts. Also while running 5's for heavy day i have ran 8's for a few sets across for light day works well for gaining some size before getting into the lower reps.
