Today meet with young guy who is 17 yrs old but strong af and shaped/huge. Talked with him little bit and he trains with weightlifters but he's actually powerlifter and competitor. He's just 75 kg and his squat is 180 kg, just wow. His deadlift is lower than his squat, that was weird till we talked about his routine. His routine is, 4 days per week and, kinda bulgarian with some bodybuilding additions.
A
Sq 1 set of triples daily max and 2x5 (%80 of first set)
Bp 1 set of triples daily max and 2x5 (%80 of first set)
Tri work
B

Ohp and same
Biceps work
A-B-off-A-B-off-off
He's on gear for sure. Also I asked for him why don't you deadlift, he told me that no full meet, just squat and bench press. Sometimes he adds some chins to that routine.
That's weird routine and this is why I'd like to share with you and wondering that what you think about it.
Lol. You can see lots of young guys around there if you live in East Europe. Common thing.
When you say "daily max" do you mean true 3RM (RPE 10, nothing left in the tank)?
If so, seems like a good way to get hurt.
I dunno, seems like kind of a stupid program but I don't know how gear changes things.
