    Andy,

Due to shoulder impingement on the right side, I can only do pulls and legs for the time being. Here is the program I came up with (I am on my second week in):

Tuesday - Clean, squat and quads
Clean up to a daily max
    Squat 3 x 5
    Leg press 3 x 20
    Leg extensions 2 x 20

Friday - Deadlift, light squat, back and arms
    Light squat @70-80% or front squat 2 x 5
    Deadlift 5 RM + back-off 2 x 10
    RDL 3 x 8-10
    Seated cable rows 3 x 10-12
Curls density set of 50 reps total
Cable pressdowns or any other triceps exercise 3 x 15-20
Rotator cuff: rear flys / face pulls / etc.

Would I better off doing 3 straight sets of deadlifts instead of adding the two higher-rep sets? Should I only do one set for fear of overtraining and or incomplete recovery for the clean max single on Tuesday?

I am asking because I hit a plateau each time I pull 362 x 5 and wondered if more volume would be a solution.

Also, I have a 3-month old son so sleep is a huge issue.

    Thanks for your time, again.

If you are doing RDL/SLDL for 3x8-10 then you are getting the benefit of higher rep work already. So if I'm adding more sets to my Deadlifts I'd be working more in the 3-6 rep range whether you are doing back off sets or sets across

    Got it.

I will start with sets across and see what happens.

    Thank you Andy.
