I implemented deficit deadlifts this Monday and threw out power cleans, because Friday I only did 2 of 5 reps at 410. did I make the right call?

I recommend you do 8 x 8 of Banded Halting Stiff Legged Deficit Deads w/ a Snatch Grip on a Fat Bar. That's my usual go to Deadlift Assistance movement. I keep things simple.

If this^ is simple, I hesitate to ask what you would consider a complicated lift.

I assume this would slot nicely as the medium pull in the GGW program? Naturally even the most sparsely equipped garage gym includes bands, a deficit box, and a fat bar...

The sarcasm was not lost on me. But seriously, what is the most complicated lift you've ever done, or had someone else do? Overhead squat on a bosu ball by any chance? :P

Never on a Bosu, but yeah, Overhead Squats are not easy to teach to a non-athletic crowd.
