    before/after SS

    175lbs/215lb=+40lbs
    15%/20-25% body fat

Hi My name is Sam K. as the title states. I'm at the end of my Linear Progression. Past six months has been a life changing experience for me. I've try to milk the program as long as i can. but with few resets. I've decided to move to the next chapter of my short training career. to make long story short. I would like to know how to burn the extra fat Ive put on. the best thing about SS was eating anything i wanted, at any time, without worrying too much about gaining weight. now, i need to learn now to take some off. hopefully, i could fit into some of my old clothing haha

for those of you who are curious about my gains
    3x5
    Squat 150-300
    bench 135-220
    press 45-140
    dead 165-325

I wrote this about 2 years ago. Only big change I'd make is making all the protein rec's in the article about 3/4 of what is listed.

Why don't you update the article? It's really popular.

But perhaps archive the old version for posterity. I quite like this part:

As an aside, I’m a raw powerlifter currently weighing around 181 at a bodyfat somewhere south of 10%. My competition best lifts are a 440 squat, 308 bench press, and 540 deadlift
Seriously cool to see how far you've come in just over a couple of years.

that article has been my absolute go to for so much of my nutrition and training (especially the HIIT part). Thanks for making it available for us.

There is no way i could recomp on 3600cal a day. I'm guessing as your case 3 hypothetical trainee drops from 35%BF to 25% BF his macros would have to be adjusted to keep making re composition happen.

At what point do you find training starts to suffer from a reduced calorie intake? when they get to around 20%? When they drop under 2500cal?

If you have any stocks of protein manufacturers, get rid of them now. Their income is going to drop by 25% some time after publication of the updated version.

So, just to clarify, your recommendation for a male looking to recomp is now 0.9 - 1.0 g/lb? In my head that seems quite low compared to what I generally see, but I've probably mis-interpreted your post!

If carbohydrates, fats, and cals are not severely limited and the person is not a vegan then yea...that's about right.
