I'd like to know if anyone's actually experianced this. Think I got it from incorrectly benching about a month ago. My left shoulder wasnt properly retracted and ended up being at a dodgy angle bearing most of the load when my right arm had fully extended.

I've gotten over the pain etc (was mostly at night, while sleeping). All i've got now is an extremely weak left shoulder. I'd say at most It's 70% of what it once was, I can barely bench 220lbs for five because my left shoulder is so weak, was benching 280 5x5 a few weeks ago with no qualms.

    Thanks for the time.

I would go to an orthopedic surgeon for Xray and MRI.

What "dodgy angle" and how did you injure yourself ? i.e. did this come on gradually or was it that during one set something got hurt and you were out.

I don't think that going from 280 to 220 is "extremely weak" it's just somewhat weak. Extremely weak is when you can barely bench the bar or pick up a plate to put on the bar or can't pick up your arm and put it overhead.
