Who checked your squat form - was it someone SS related?
I've been doing SS for the past 5 weeks and in the past week or two I've been feeling some mild soreness in my knees on my recovery day (all over, not a particular tendon). During warm up and the work sets there is zero pain. I've had my squat form checked and the knee position and movement path has been good. Is some soreness expected? Should I just get a foam roller and work on the muscles?

As a 44 year old training strength I've found good knee sleeves (Rehbands,SBD) to be a huge help. I also use voodoo floss for some added compression on the knees with good results.
My knees will get cranky with me every now and again. They usually start to feel better by the time I get to my work sets. I haven't felt the need to try knee sleeves yet.
Thanks everyone. I determined that additional warm-up (10-15 minute walk versus 5 prior to normal unweighted squat + stretch + weighted progression) has helped eliminate the problem.
Shaun, yes, I had a SS coach review the form.
Just because a coach checked your form on Monday does not mean it is good on Tuesday. I am still working on the things Mark told me in December.
I hope the warmup continues to help. If it is a form issue, you'll find the pain returns as the weight gets heavier. Then it'll be time for another SSC visit.
