So I have been having shoulder pain for the past 4 months. The only lift it affects is primarily the bench, but the pain has been intermittent. It started getting worse, and I was having pain at night also. I couldn't bench at all this week so I got an appointment with my orthopedic shoulder specialist. I explained to him my past struggle with the low bar squat bar position, as well as the pain when bench pressing. He was very impressed by my xray. He said I managed to reshape my bone structure out of pure determination (and bad form I'm sure) trying to achieve this bar position. I can achieve the bar position now. He gave me an injection and some oral prednisone and said I can resume training when the pain subsides. Kinda crazy, and I thought I would share. You can see how I have whittled away the top of the humerus, and a resulting stress fracture.
