    The basic novice program is in that book. But Starting Strength: Basic Barbell Training 3rd Edition does lay out how to do the lifts.

    Ok. ill read practical programming and do the novice program. I dont think i really need to buy SS because im confident i already know how to do all of the lifts. Thanks for your help.

    I might end up tracking progress on YouTube if you're interested

    Not just how, but why. I have kindle edition on my phone and I re-read the part for that lift if I miss a rep. Often times I missed a cue, such as "leg drive" in the bench.

    Worth more than the $10 I paid for it, to be sure.
