    Default Unilateral shoulder instability

Hello everyone, I am hoping someone from the Starting Strength community can offer me advice about a shoulder issue I've noticed recently.

In short, I am experiencing right shoulder instability.

I notice that during chin ups, my left shoulder feels perfectly stable in hanging position, like it's securely set in the shoulder joint. But my right shoulder (in the same position) isn't so stable. It feels like the surrounding musculature is a little "stringy", if not weaker than the left side, and that I can hang "lower" and less securely because of it.

I also feel this hard-to-describe instability when I take my grip and move under the barbell before a squat; I feel the need to pinch my right shoulder blade back in order to feel like the shoulder is secure.

Oh, I am also experiencing some pain when I move my right shoulder back into a throwing position.

If anybody knows what could be done about this, or if there's some informative anatomy to be learned, I'm all ears.

    Thank you very much
