If I just read this description without any names, I'd swear you were talking about Miles Davis.
I'm wondering how much of his stuff you've actually listened to.
Inertia would have you flying into outer space. Gravity keeps you there.
As in lifting, what works for naturally gifted dynamos may not work for us lowly intermediates.

Weight was 231 this morning.
Decided to scrap the 5/1 idea. Hopped the program before even starting. Instead, I'm gonna do a TM-ish setup. Cheat meals for the week will be a big one...

Thanks. Yeah, there's really nothing like a heavy squat or deadlift. Life is full of challenges, but no 5 seconds of your life will ever be harder than that 1RM PR attempt. I take comfort in that.
On that first set, looks like reps 3 and 5 actually stopped and maybe came down slightly in the middle. Nice job grinding them out.
Tentative summer cut plans:

6 weeks: 4/29 - 6/10
Lose at least 15 lbs
Maintain as much strength as possible - Hit 385/265/475 on 6/10
Be able to move around without panting.
