Press 3x5 - 105

I do it this way cause theres a mirror right in front of me. Im use to squatting the other way from my old gym. Will do it the other way tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks for everyone's help.
I face away from the hooks, so I walk under the bar to take it off and backup to put it back on. Maybe I'll try the other way and see how that goes, might feel more stable...
good luck then
Well what is your ultimate goal during the cut? (I haven't gotten a chance to read the whole thread yet)
I'm not the strongest dude to begin with, but I know a bit on losing weight. I went from 215 to 145 in about 9 months, 215 to 159 in about 5 1/2. Weight loss is super easy if you are dedicated...
I'd have to like backup, lower myself down 3 inches and try to get it in. seems like I'm asking for an injury doing that...haven't tried it so I dont know, but seems awkward. I looked around at the...
Thursday Lift (11/3)
Chins - 3x5. Freaking rack was taken where I normally do them so I had to use that assistance machine crap. Just felt too awkward and had one of those stupid pads that kept...
Its not like a nice power rack. Its all fixed position hooks every like 4 inches or whatever. Its the only thing the place has next to a smith machine that I could squat on.
I haven't read the whole thread or if this is just a bashing of each other's beliefs, but for me.... "I once was blind, but now I see".
Yea the problem is, its a corporate gym and there is no wood I can use. I could use some mats for like yoga or whatever, but that almost seems worse then squating with air pocket shoes and I'd need...
I have to do a slight calf raise/jump to get the weight out of the rack doing a LBBS. Then when I'm done, I'm like 2 inches too low to rack the weight. I'm still in light weights so its not as...
Wed Lift (11/2)
Squats 3x5 - 145 (still light I know. Chicken legs need some momentum to get the weight up! I can tell I'm gonna have an issue with these squats as I up the weight. The rack I...
Hey Mike, I'm 29 but have 3 daughters. Starting early myself on the intimidation factor! welcome to SS I'm new myself.
on a side note, the anger I'm experiencing should assist in fueling my workout tomorrow. So I guess that's a plus
yea its all about money. Its like the fact that I had to buy a new wall charger cause one of the little pins loosened up. Crappy accessories to just make you buy more. Ridiculous. Should have...
Tuesday Lift - None. UGH!
Spent my lunchbreak over at the Apple store for a Genius Bar appt to have them look at my laptop after my kid spilt a glass of soda on it. Thing works fine, just...
@ello - thanks for the info. when I was back over 200 I was in XL comfortably as well, but not sure I'll get back over 200 on this plan (intentionally)
