Default hyperextensions in a home gym

Hyperextensions are needed to do SS but for someone in a home gym without a hyperextension or similar device, what should we do? Is the floor version, aka, the "superman" an adequate substitute? Thanks.

No, the ROM is not comparable. You'll need to make a program without the exercise since you are not properly equipped.

Coach, what about band pull throughs? Would this be an acceptable substitute? Thanks.

Rip, doing Roman Chair Back extensions seems to be giving me a hamstring strain, I dont know what i'm doing wrong, my right ham seems really painful when I extend it. It's only started since I bought a roman chair and started using it.

I get myself in the position outlined in the book, have a 45lb plate behind my head, and do 3 sets of 10, its hard but I can keep form, why is my hammy fucked?

Band pullthroughs are fine, sure. Aslin has an injury that I cannot see from here.

Getstronger. I've done hypers over the side of my couch before. Worked fine. You just need something/someone to hold your feet.

Back then when I trained in my old homegym I used a gymnastic ball doing them. Although it was not the same ROM as on proper equipement it worked out for a time.

I use an incline bench in my homegym, and fasten my feet with a belt.
It works well enough. No problems at all.

I am doing Texas Method in my home gym and have been using good mornings in place of hypers. The GMs also give a great stretch to the hamstrings.
