My ass was completely and utterly kicked today. I have been careless about eating and have been guilty of using a protein shake as a meal, more than once. I have been training at the dojo pretty hard. So after today's ass kicking, my penance was to go out to my favorite Mexican place and force myself to eat a platter of carnitas with mole poblano, rice and beans. A few "hail mary's" on the side, an "our father," and I'll be fine. I hope no catholics are offended by my levity ;-)

I thought I was going to be completely tired and lagging again, but once I got going, I had way more juice than I expected. It's just the weather, rain rain rain all the time makes me drag. For someone as melanin deficient as I am, I seem to need a lot of sunlight.

I have had a long hard training week. Friday I took all the falls for a long jujitsu dan test. Sunday I had a three hour multiple attacker self defense class. Also the usual training Saturday from 10-1 and and last night from 7:30 - 9:30 (I ditched the first class in a belated attempt to rest.)
So, not sure if I should deload next week instead of waiting another week, or just treat this as a bad day and move on.
