Clearly hindsight is a wonderful thing, but a better course of action would have been to raise the issue in writing, say with an email, and then let it rest, especially after you saw the first time that they didn't care. There would have been a written record of your concern, so nobody could have said anything to you later. And it would have been difficult for them to come back after weeks and accuse you of damage, because either they do it straight away, when they receive your written complaint, or it looks like making excuses and trying to skirt their responsibility.

I hope they will let you deadlift.

This. When your grip fails DOH it doesn't feel as if the grip has anything to do with it. It just feels too heavy.

Umm... it's probably a good idea to avoid eating anything TOO often or to eat TOO much of it. By definition too often or too much is not good. What a worthless piece of shit.

In keeping with the deadlift and grip strength theme, what do you who have a weak DOH grip as I do, do to improve your grip strength? And how do you incorporate these exercises in to SS?

    [temptation to use lmgtfy overcome]

Farmer's walks, Heavy-ish shrugs w/o straps, Kroc Rows, Holding the last rep of a set of DLs as long as you can (inb4 DLs aren't a grip workout).

I'm not sure what "lmgtfy" means, I'm presuming something related to search for yourself?

If right, I'm aware of and have used many different grip strength training techniques. I'm curious as to what the SS community employs, perhaps even what Coach Rip himself endorses.

You use all those exercises concurrently? At the end of your SS workout, prior to, or on off days?

Same thing when it fails mixed. Not sure why, but I feel like my grip has been getting worse the last few months, or at least stagnating. I haven't been rock climbing nearly as much recently as I used to, I'm sure that has something to do with it.
