I explained he's committed by coming everyday but he's just doing all the wrong things and he can dumbbell curl 10 lbs for the next five years and he won't be a bit stronger. I explained he needs to get under a barbell and squat, deadlift, bench, press, dips, and chins, eat a ton at least 5000 calories a day and check back in 9 months or so and see where you're at.
It's not all his fault there's this other guy at the gym who is naturally a bigger guy who is kinda strong, he can bench what I can and has big arms, but he's probably 4 inches taller and 30 lbs heavier than me. He was teaching this kid isolation curls and all sorts of stupid bodybuilding crap and this kid is 5'8 and not a lb over 110 lbs so the kid just listened to him. Hopefully I see him squatting and stop with these nonsensical 5 lb tricep kickbacks and shit.
