Saw this guy, 5 foot 5, 130 pounds, doing a "superset" of leg presses (4 plates total) and then this thing where he would do some sort of oblique crunches very rapidly. Something like 15 reps in 30 seconds. In my mind, I've dubbed him The Woodpecker. He was also, on a different day, doing 1/8 squats at this same astonishing pace. It's the combination of all the joint damage of 1/8 squats with all the pulled muscles of super-fast, out-of-control motion.
I imagine this guy to have been driving by the gym, thinking to himself, "You know, I really goddamn hate my body. I think I'll go destroy myself at a woodpecker pace.
