It's good to have you back. How did NY stand up to the Viking raid? It's good to be back in the gym.

NY survived. My bank account on the other hand, is hanging on by a thread. Eating and drinking (out) is very expensive in NY. Funny because Iceland has always has the reputation of being hugely expensive. I guess that's what a currency crash will do. Some other things, like clothes and shoes, are fairly cheap though. This makes the situation worse, not better. Guess why?
Not exactly, but it means that you spend even more money buying cheap jeans, T-shirts etc.

I had planned on some conditioning work this summer. My bum knee has stopped me doing that as most of the things I do in that line are at least fairly hard on the knees (loaded walks, DB swings, stair and hill running). I have a tree stump in my garden that I had planned to hollow out as a bird bath. It turned out to take forever with a chisel so I never did much. Today, on a whim, I went and got my firewood axe and started whacking the hell out of it. I ended up doing 16 sets of 20 and sweating and blowing hard. Great fun and easy on the knees. My forearms are dead though. Typing is hell!
Solid training considering the welcome interruption (your son's graduation). Congratulations on the bench PR, solid lifting and good job keeping your butt on the bench too.
Thanks Steve and Steve.
