Nah, they'll probably just cackle and/or glare.

Yup, I did a few trapbar deads today! Tomorrow will be the test though, hopefully I'll be painfree in 'da knee. Started nice and light, just the two sets. Next Wednesday is my appointment with the specialist.
Goin' to bed now, even though it is 7:20 pm.
Those hide-a-bed couches are bastards. Truth. Is your son not quite so big a slab o' beef as yourself?
Real life isn't treating your banged up joint very well - impressive that you actually made it to the gym. I really hope everything works out with the specialist.
Showed up by dad again. Seems dad's can always do this...another example of gym strength translating to "functional strength". Be proud.

Heh. I kept telling him I was worried I might be as old and worn out as he is some day!

16" Close grip bench
A fun session today. I am continuing on with my legless benching and it is starting to show in my tricep size just a bit now. BW is down about 6lbs to around 235 and upper arms are pushing a bit over 18", not quite 18 1/2". If my arms were shorter it might be impressive but with my long ol' sticks it ain't that much. But its been fun learning to bench like I'm cut off below the waist, something I've never done before.
I should have some computer time now, the wife is done with her School work for the year. Well, most of it.
Bad news. My knee is acting back up again. Same bursitis. The difference is that on a 1-10 pain scale, before being a 10, this is a 2. Still, I can't do much, knee won't work right and outside of pain I now have some popping going on inside my knee. Couldn't do T-bar rows, hurts the knee too much so I chinned instead.
Chins--just screwed around and did about 10 sets of BW and some heavy weighted chins.
If I hadn't recieve all the knee specialist Docs stuff in the mail and got to read about him, I'd be seriously bummed right now. I liked what I read, apparently he's a Doc for the Olympic Skiiing team too. A very active fellow it seems and physical fitness for his patients is important. I'm a bit more upbeat than I was before I got the mail.
Oh, my hammer curls. My goal is to make it upwards of 110's for 5 reps. 120's would be cool, but though the 70's were feeling pretty good today, I can't imagine 'bells 50lbs heavier. I think if I could make it to the 120's though, I would start grunting and scratching anytime I felt like it.
Sorry Mr. Knee is being disagreeable just now. Mine was acting up too this morning. On the other hand it sounds like you have a good doc around to give you the skinny about what to do and then what's next.
Thanks Mark, knee hurts even worse now. Went out to Astoria Oregon with the wife and friends and found some famous tower and walked to the top which wasn't bad, but the way down absolutely destroyed my knee. I'm a hurtin' unit. Can't wait to talk with the Doc.
16" Close grip bench
No spotter today, my lifting buddy came home with a pounding headache so I lifted alone. My 10th rep of my last set of benches was slow enough I saw no gains in doing the 3rd top set. Next week I'll get all three. 3 more reps on the Db bench from last week, militaries felt very good and going up to 6 reps with the ab wheel was a cakewalk.

Downhill and down stairs can be brutal on a beat up knee. You need some resolution, so you can move on.
As for your son, well, I'm jealous. I will never be a big guy like that. I just don't have the genetics.
I'll be real happy to get up to a solid 215.
