    Default Regin's log

Right now I'm doing smolov bench, chins twice a week and 5/3/1 squats and deadlifts. Im training to build a base to start competing with next summer. Last three workouts were as follows at a bw of 200 pounds:

    Thursday September 16th

    Deadlift
    135x2x5
    185x5
    205x3
    250x5
    285x3
    320x5 (BELT)

    Bench
    135x7x5

    Front Squat
    110x3
    125x3
    135x12
    135x10

Used a california style grip but that caused shoulder pain so I quickly re-racked and took a conventional grip and finished the set. Did a second set because I was worried it wasnt enough work.

    Friday September 17th

    Pull ups
    7, 4, 4

First set was a death struggle, probably why performance had taken such a hit the next two sets.

    Saturday September 18th

    Bench
    145x8x4

    Squats
    45x1x10
    115x1x5
    135x1x5
    180x5
    205x3
    226x8 (BELT) PR!

Pushed it pretty hard, GM looking on last rep, but feels good man. Previous best was 235x5 so I'm calling this a PR.

    Good Mornings
    115x4x10

Ez. Hard valsalva on each set of 10 left me a little dizzy afterwards.

Excellent. A PR by any other name is still a PR!

    Well done.

    Thanks Oldster.

    Bench
    133x6x6

7 pound increase, a little conservative. Felt pretty easy.

    Weighted Ring Chin
    15x3x3

God I'm so fat! Busted a fucking nut getting that last rep, may have even been a half inch away from full completion.

    Wrist roller
    15x3

Just got one from JumpUSA, humbled with only 15 pounds.

    Thursday September 23rd

    Deadlift
    135x5
    205x5
    225x5
    260x5
    293x9 (BELT) PR!

Was positively determined to get a PR today, and almost killed myself to do it, but damnit I did it. Lost some extension on the 8th rep, fatigue causing a lazy set up I believe because the ninth was better. I'm not going to push myself that hard next week. The wrist roller caused some risidual fatigue during this work out that caused my hands to begin to open on 260 DOH.

    Bench
    142x7x5

    Experimenting with getting leg drive.

    Front Squat
    120x3
    135x3
    152x8

Wrists hurt, got to remember to keep that rack position high on the ascent.

    0. 0 pounds.

I can't remember exactly. I do remember that after getting to 185-190 bodyweight and doing shitty programming I could squat 95x5.

Wow and now you're squatting 360x8. My new inspiration, you are. I will squat 360x8 by this time next year.

You can do it man, just stay consistent and pick a goal/program and stick with it, whether thats cutting or bulking and you'll get there. Good luck man.
