Well, at least we're not women, and it's only occasionally that people feel entitled to comment on our bodies.

I seem to recall that you have commented at times about your recovery ability. Maybe you should consider a very limited program based around 20 rep squats, or better yet deadlifts. Quite a few of the old timers and some of the more recent contributors to the iron game have had good luck with them.

By limited I mean 20 rep squats) or deadlifts, bench press, a straight arm pullover, and bent over barbell rows. Your elbows that you have been fretting over with respect to your cleans won't come into the equation since it's based around the most basic of full body movements. You can work out three times a week, twice a week, or three times spread over two weeks. Whatever of those frequency templates best fits your recovery needs. I have some more minor information to add to this if you're interested.

I'm actually doing pretty decent on the current program, believe it or not. Possibly because my squats aren't that heavy yet. And I have no intention of letting my stupid slow elbows prevent me from doing a cleans or snatches. That'd be admitting defeat, and I'm not very good at that. Speaking of, I need to see if I can re-rig my bar to get my workout in at home today, since the gym, she is closed, and I'm only going to have my shitty bar and bench for another week or so.

You know, I was looking at the various kilt options available online last night. Damn things are more expensive than you'd think.
If things go well, I'll be squatting in a sarong shortly, though. I'll report back on the experience.

As for TC, I didn't think she was as big a fan of men in skirts as some other ladies we know.
Not that any of them would object to doing a kilt check, I suspect.

I found a sports kilt place. Getting a purple and black one. TC approves. Trend = started.

    These guys? http://www.sportkilt.com/

Yeah, they seem the most reasonable. My clan tartan isn't available, so I'll probably go Black Watch or one of the Irish tartans when the time comes. That and a Utilikilt might be an eventual acquisition.

Those are the ones. Very nice selection. I would ask then about your clan pattern. Maybe they can do it. Might even be able to get the motto sewn down a pleat.

Well, that could have gone better.

    Front Squat
    155 x4?

    Back Squat
    195 x5x2

    Bench Press
    110 x5x3

Turns out I left the hooks up, so I found my chains, re-hung them, and shuffled shit around so I could squat. However, the hooks are spaced for back squatting, not front squatting, and tend to want to go right where my hands need to be. Not a big deal for warm-ups, but a serious problem for work sets. Switched to LBBS, and put all the weight I had on. Heavier than it should have been. Though I am just having a weak day, I think. Sweat something awful. Also don't have my knee wraps, and squatting without them was probably stupid. Right knee was less than happy with me after doing so.

    Bench went fine. Well, even.

But I don't think I'll be doing this again. I'll do work with the kettlebells instead.

Also: Sarong worked nicely to squat in. Way better than sweats, and at least on par with shorts, though next time I'd orient the slit to the side, instead of the front.

This was also the first time I think I've benched with my head off the bench. This was done for set number two, to avoid the horrible cold puddle of sweat my head left from the first set. Seemed to help a little bit, actually. Probably by making me engage the abominables a bit more than I usually do.
