Nobody has ever set a world record by thinking the weight overhead. When the weights get heavy your body will know what to do and you will either make or miss the weight. Can you imagine trying to hit a 90 mile an hour fast ball with a coach yelling out the mechanics of hitting when the batter is at the plate. The experienced coach wants his athlete thinking of one thing, making the lift. I really liked when Rip kept repeating to the athlete, "Do what you have to do to make the weight". It is much easier to move your body where the weight is, then to move the weight to where your body goes.
