Default Question about protein and strength

Does it make a real difference in eating a lot of protein versus lower protein in relation to strength gain?

Assuming calories are in check, of course. My budget is very tight and I'm finding it hard to get in enough protein on a regular basis. Any insight is appreciated!

One of the other threads in this section pointed out that eggs are pretty cheap. I think protein is pretty important. What do you mean by "lower protein?"

Lower protein as in, 1g per lb. or maybe a little bit less. So if someone was about 120 lbs. they'd have 100-120g.

Just a thought I guess. Never really heard too much info on the subject relating to actual strength gains or losses if a lot of protein isn't being taken in.

    Jess,

Get cheap cuts of meat, brisket and pork shoulders and darkmeat chicken. Slow cook work well for all, but is necessary for the first 2.

At the grocery store I work at and I assume other stores, there are a couple days a week when they go through and mark stuff thats 2-3 days from expiring down 30-50%, but this only saves money if you live really close, because you'd be driving there more often.
