Is packaging sandwiches like lightbulbs a thing in the UK? I hate to go all ignorant American over here but generally speaking I like the bread to meat the rest of the sandwich no more than a minute or two before consumption.

It's the equivalent of the prepacked 7-11 sandwiches. The likes of M&S and Boots do them far better than 7-11, which is part of the reason they seem such a popular option, Freshly made is just easily obtainable, but it tends to take longer, which probably explains the popularity of the prepacked ones. Even discountign the fresh vs prepacked debate though, those things barely even qualify as a man snack, let alone a propper lunch. You'd get 20 g of protein in those sort of things if you;re lucky.

Chicken triple from M&S gives you around 35 g. I think thats the most I've seen in a pre packaged sandwhich. The one pictured above formed my pre breakfast snack, with 250g of chicken forming the breakfast.
