    Is it not possible to simply bench the weight up if there is no spotter to hand the bar over?

    Your torso? Is it not possible to set up as the DB bench from your video? Holding the knurls on the ez curl bar resembles the same angle of two dumbells.

    Rip, I just watched this again after having put LTEs into my routine after bench. Excellent video. The triceps may be the primary hook for doing this exercise, but you didn't discuss the benefits to the chest, lats, and abs. It seems to me that this exercise works most of big muscles of the upper body to some extent.
