My wife squatted 80lbs x 5 last night. I know it's not much, but it's awesome for two reasons: 1) she's getting enthusiastic about building strength, and 2) 45 lbs was too heavy for her when we started.
That, and she finally let me set up a garage gym.
I can finally press again. But several months off from pressing makes for unenjoyable presses.
Regarding the pressing earlier in the forum...managed a 110 lb giant DB for 14 reps this weekend. Dumbass PR - I was training with the 150 the last few weeks since I "guessed" it to be 100-110. Well I was off, but I got 150x2 so that was cool.
Next up - 225 strict press.
On saturday it was finally time for me increase to 100kg(220lbs) on my benchpress. Now this wasnt my 1RM as I havent tested it yet (and no plans to yet). But doing 3 sets of 5 reps at 100kg(220lbs) was a milestone for me! Such a nice round number in Kilo ! :-)
