Why is it so fucking hard for you to grasp that this makes no fucking sense?

    1) Potentially racist memes must be both present and repeated with clear racist intent in Texas in order for it to be considered racist in its usage nationally on talk radio and the Internet?
    2) You are in a position to determine whether or not a potentially racist meme is repeated in a racist manner in all of Texas simply because your ass happens to be somewhere in that state?

You don't see the huge logical flaws in the above?

That's not what I'm saying at all. We were both arguing anecdotally, I was pointing out why I feel that my experiences offer a better viewpoint than yours. I don't know how you're coming up with that shit.

Why does your experience offer a better viewpoint than mine if the phenomenon we're discussing is not geographically localized? Because you assume you know more racist people because you live in a supposedly more racist place?

Yes. And nice tweak on my wording to make it more extreme.

I mean, in that case I may as well just argue that MEH and I are older than you, which means we've seen more racism and more racists and have experienced a more racist America, and are therefore better qualified to judge when something is racist.

I'm not trying to make it more extreme. I'm trying to clarify so that I actually understand what you're trying to say about the nature of the superiority of your experiences for forming a basis on which to judge the question.

There's a big difference in what I said:

I was pointing out why I feel that my experiences offer a better viewpoint than yours
compared to what you said I said:

Why does your experience offer a better viewpoint than mine
I never claimed it actually did.

So we have to insert all kinds of qualifiers? We're already operating on the assumption that there is no absolute, factual answer here. It is implied by the very nature of the discussion.

That would assume that humor and racism are static and not dynamic.

If you want to paraphrase me when I leave open the fact that it is an arguable point, don't make it sound like I stated it as an absolute.
