Did prowler sprints today. Although they slowed down at the end.

    Sled+140 x 100' x 7 in 14:27

I absolutely hate that feeling at the end of a sprint where I just cannot get a breath. Like my heart is going to explode.

EDIT: I did these 50' down and 50' back thinking I would try the low handles on the way back. I couldn't get it started and stuck to high handles.

    Squat
    135x5
    225x5
    315x3
    405x1
    455x1
    425x4x2 - PR
    435x3x2
Played around with 3 different knee wraps today.

    Bench vs Bands
    135x5
    155x3x8 EMOM
Doubled minis, adds about 70 pounds at the top.

    3" Block Deadlift with Chains
    243x4
    333x3
    423x3
    453x3x2 RPE 8
Weight listed includes 108 pounds of chain.

Getting acclimated to wraps again. Wraps are a lot of fun, but they hurt like hell. More at some times than others. It takes a lot out of you, so I do enjoying blocks where I don't use wraps also.

I respect those that choose not to use wraps, of course. No way I could squat 500 without them...at least for now. On the other hand, those who don't use wraps have no fucking idea what they are about. It often takes more stamina to do more sets in wraps. I will probably never lift equipped other than knee wraps, but I have a lot of respect for those that go to the trouble.

On top of lifting yesterday, I did a lot of moving dirt and other labor intensive stuff all day. Pretty much dead when I hit the sheets close to midnight. Now I have to train early morning on less than 6 hours sleep, because we will be traveling today.

    Ugh.

I shared your wrap sentiment this weekend. Wrapping and re -wrapping after every set got old very fast! But, I'm learning to use them better by wearing them more frequently this cycle.

Hopefully you're alive today after lots of work and running around!

Yeah, I feel it's important to get enough practice in the way you're going to compete. Plus, since I can go heavier with wraps, it just beats me up that much more. I never use them for supplemental lifts though. Just Saturday's main squatting. Last cycle, I didn't start using them until the 3rd week of transmutation, I think.

Hopefully you're alive today after lots of work and running around!
Ha, thanks! This is the first year in like 16 years we haven't been on the road for 5 hours visiting family on Easter. We just had a nice day at my daughter's house about an hour away. So I'm feeling good today and will be ready to deadlift heavy tomorrow : )

You will need 3 meters with all the SWOLE training though...

It only took me three meets to be done with wraps. All that timing and prepping and what if someone misses their attempt and now all of a sudden you are up but you haven't finished wrapping. Its not so bad when you can sit back and have your handler/coach wrap you; but when you are wrapping yourself, it sucks. You waste a bunch of energy getting them on tight and in the right place and also nervous energy getting your timing right for your attempt.

I hate wraps because of that.

They are fun to squat in though. They can help provide an overload stimulus for a wrapless competitor.

Meet wise, I'm done with them. I can live with my knee sleeves. Then at the meet I can focus on getting ready for the lift and not how many guys out I am.

    YMMV.
