Actually, Tim has black Romaleos, too. Good thing I have since rectified my shoe situation with a new, purple purchase.

I got the top ones. Mostly because I wanted to experiment with a taller heel on squats and bench. They're purple of course.

I don't think anything can be uglier than Rip's shoes from Rogue.

I would love to get a pair of BRIGHT RED ones like those, Carlos. Or maybe the bright red adidas ones.

Or better yet, some badass rental bowling shoes. But the heel on those is probably less than .5" so it'd defeat the purpose. Maybe for deadlifting lol.

Dude, Carlos. Come on. You know those things are ugly.

    Starting Strength, Workout B: 3/17/12

    Tom:
    Squats: 380x5x1
You guys probably wouldn't like my form, but I am happy with this set. My legs felt so heavy and 335 was way harder than it should have been. I didn't think I had a chance at 380. I'll probably post this video, actually. This was the funnest set in a while. I guess you'll see what I mean.

    Bench: 217.5x5x3
The very last rep of the very last set was the only really tough rep, but I may be slowing down on bench. We'll see. I'm closing in an all-time PR with a grip that is a hand-width less than what I like. I'm also going to do it 3x5 instead of 1x5. Cool stuff.

    Power Cleans: 165x3x5
These were fucking exhausting. I'm going to be doing these 8x3 with a Madcow style ramping. I could just feel my back getting exhausted. Literally, I felt the muscles getting tired and pumped.

    Chins: 215x5x3
Yes, my gym weight is now 215. I'm probably 210 in mornings. A couple of these were not truly dead hang. That's fine, I guess, because it was a 7.5# jump and my plan was to take 2.5# jumps on these. If I can do 215 again next time, I will. They will be better in terms of dead hang. But, really, it's just chins.

I'll probably only do a real analysis of my lifts since I don't think anyone really cares about my brothers, lol. If you do, I'll write about it on my blog: bothellbarbell.blogspot.com. I also write about all of my other trainees.

    Tony:
    Squats: 280x5x3
    Bench: 165x5x3
    Power Clean: 100x3x1, 105x3x4
Fucking misloaded the first set, lol.
    Chins: 188x5x3
    185x5,3 to 188x5x3? lolwut. Okay.

    Tim:
    Squats: 240x5x3
    Bench: 140x5x3
    Power Cleans: 120x3x5
Chins: 3x5 with grey band. We didn't weigh him because he usually uses lat pull downs when he lifts at school. He only does chins here so we don't really program them.

There's some prelift prayer ish going on. The actual set doesn't start for a while.

    Starting Strength, Workout A, 3/19/12

    Tom:
    Squats: 285x5x2
Heavier than usual. That's the point of light day I guess. I'll be ready to go by Saturday. Form was textbook, though.

    Press: 145x5x3
These were a bit challenging for once. 147.5 will be an all-time PR. Closing in on PRs for the presses (220x5x1, 145x5x1 are the former PRs). This is technically a PR since my last bar was a bit light and that's the one I hit 145 with. I'm obviously a bit stronger since I hit it for 3x5 as well. Still, it's not a PR.

    GHR: BWx6x1, BWx10x2
Went to double orange bands and was able to get ten. Got my blood flowing and felt real nice. Well, as nice as GHRs can feel.

    Power Snatch: 65x2x7
These are fun and they are here to stay on light days. I'll go up by 10s for a while until I can't anymore.

    Tony:
    Squats: 285x5x3
    Press: 117.5x5x3
    Deadlift: 295x5x1

    Tim:
    Squats: 245x5x3
    Press: 115x5x3
    Deadlift: 345x5x1
    Power Snatch: 65x2x7
