Another Clothes Thread
Just ripped another pair of underwear right down the ass seam. I need a company that makes stretchy, durable, and most importantly, cheap underwear.
-
I wear Hanes boxer briefs. If you hike them up a little before the squat set, they will never rip. I haven't ripped a pair yet.

I ripped boxer briefs and even gym shorts before getting wise to this fact: looking cool is anathema to preserving your bottoms while squatting. Hike the waist up so the crotch is as close to yours as possible and nothing will rip. You'll look like Urkel for about half an hour but you won't need to buy new shit.

lift in compression shorts. keeps everything tight and compression helps with blood flow/recovery apparently

When buying lower-body clothing, try on something that fits quite loose. Then, go a size higher Maybe two, to be sure. Just trust me on that. It should last you at least 6 months. I've said "There's NO WAY in hell these pants are EVER gonna be tight" too many times, only to have those same pants not fit me some months later. I wear tighty-whiteys and they never gave me trouble, even though my 195 ass is really filling the "large" sized ones.
-
I wear Hane's boxer briefs and the C9 compression shorts from Target (long boxer brief). I've destroyed the elastic on the legs of all the Hanes while squatting, but otherwise they're fine.
-
My standard response is always "buy under armor compression shorts."
They are pricey. Buy a pair at a time.
If major thigh/nut chaffing has yet to be an issue, buy them now and save yourself the pain.
They stretch a bit too, not ripping and also providing chaff protection. My UA undies are the only thing sized "medium" that I can fit in.

can't do any sort of brief because of chaffing and uncomfortable nuts
have to buy XL or XXL boxers and jeans that are way too big in the waist
i fucking hate having athletic legs

If your ripping them during squats it means you're relaxing at the bottom. Used to rip my boxers all the time til i fixed up my form.
