    Week 2, Day 4

    Bench: 135x3, 155x3, 180x5x3, 155x2x7
    Shrugs: 225x5x6
    Plate Front Raises: 25x5x12
    Push-ups: 5x10

    Bench at 180 (which is 80% of my max) wasn't too challenging. Plate front raises were new to me, really liked them. That's it for the second week, no hills tomorrow, so I'll rest up for next Tues. Really liking the program so far - one of the best parts of my Sunday is receiving the email from Jim about next week's training.

    BW: 179

    Bas Rutten Thai Boxing CD: 3x2 minute rounds
    Squat: 155x5, 180x5, 210x7x4
    RDL: 160x5x6

    Jim told me to bump my maxes by 10 pounds on squat and dead, and 5 pounds on bench. Busy day today so I was in the garage at the ass crack of dawn 5:00 am. Below are 3 of my sets at 210 lbs.

    Press: 85x6, 100x6, 115x2x5
    CGBP: 140x5, 150x4, 160x2, 170x2, 180x3x2
    Reverse Grip Bench Press: 95x5, 105x5, 115x5, 125x5, 135x3x5
    Reverse BB Curls: 60x10, 55x4x10

    Started with 95 on the Reverse Grip BP and settled on 135 as the best weight for me. CGBP at 180 was easy.

    Deads: 170x6, 205x5, 240x2, 255x2, 270x1, 290x5
    Bent Row (pulled to chest): 135x5x6, 115x12
    Chins: 15 Total (3x5)
    20 minute fast walk (did a 20 minute slow jog instead)

    Top set of deads at 290x5 was not too bad at all, actually they felt great. This is 85% of my bumped max so for it to be almost easy shows everything's going in the right direction.

    BB Shrugs: 225x5x6
    BB Upright Rows: 65x3x10
    Rear Raises: 10lb plates x5x12
    Push-ups: 3x15

    190x7x3 on the bench was extremely difficult, so much so I had to have my wife spot me for the last two sets. She never had to touch the bar though.

    Everything went well. Pretty tired though, glad I have a day to rest before deads on Friday.

    HB Squat (Light): 170x3x3
    Deadlift: 225x3, 260x2, 290x2, 315x7x2 [PR for reps of 315 in one session]
    Bent Row (pulled to chest): 135x5x6, 115x12
    Chins: 20 Total (4x5)
    20 Minute Run: ran 2.01 miles @ 9:59/mi

    Fantastic workout. Video is a couple sets of my HB squats which I've never taped before; deads at 315 sets 1, 4, and 7; and last set of chins.
