    --Trying to do that hippie, new age "listen to your body" bullshit. Body said no-go today, so I did a little deload. Won't train again until Tuesday, at which point I'm returning to Tues deadlifts and Fri squats because this just fucking works better for me, and because it makes much more sense for meet preparations (8 days between last heavy squat and meet, 11 days between last heavy deadlift and meet, instead of the nonsensical opposite).

    Deadlift 614x3 PR (felt like an RPE of 9 simply because my thumbs hurt from the hook. Looked more like an 8. Training partners thought I had two more reps in me.)
    Snatch grip deadlifts 445x3, 495x3, 520x3

    Thanks, Finn. I can't show you, but I can let you in a little secret. You have to keep deadlifting. In my case, for 14 years, albeit with many detours, turns, and stops. And it never gets any easier.

    Hell yeah, Steve. That would be awesome. We'll have to demolish some bbq, too. I'd assume one can find some good brisket around those parts.

    Oh yeah! I do know there's a place called The Branding Iron. I don't really remember how good the BBQ was, because I was too busy being impressed with how much Josiah Moye could eat. It was after that crossfit total that Rip held in 2012.

    Anyway, if it doesn't fill up before my next paycheck in a week, I'm signing up.
