Good times. What other job let's 44 year old men play, compete in tug of war, and pull 7 ton trucks?
    Awesome.

Certainly can't do that in the 1st CivDiv!

I didn't realize those pulls were reverse band, but it's still 525 at the top!

    Sunday, August 19

Great day in the gym. Allen and Nadia, friends of Dave (djl236) came out to train with us along with our old partner Nate. Video is long as a result. Allen set a huge PR in his squat and Dead, Nadia got going on her squat and Dead, Nate continues to impress with his abilities.

Squat: (with 2 red bands - about 80lbs of assistance at bottom, zero help at the top). 135x5, 225x5, 315x3, 405x1, 455x3 RPE 10, 425x3 RPE 8, 435x3 RPE 9. This was devastating, rewarding, awesome, and challenging.

Power Clean: (In Kgs). 40x3, 60x3, 80x3, 90x3 PR, 100x3 PR. Form was absolute CRAP on the top set, but this was a 20Kg PR. This is the first time I have Power Cleaned in more than 5 months.

GHR: 3x8. This is horrible. I have a physical impairment called WEAK SAUCE that prevents me from properly doing these. My GHD will likely be taken from me for this disgusting display.

    Conditioning:

Prowler w/ 25lb each leg, Sled with 2 plates for the first round, 3 plates for the 2nd and 3rd round 100ft up and 100 ft back.

Alternated with Nate I did prowler while he dragged the sled and vice/versa - 3 rounds total - 6:45.

    Congradulations on the PC PR!

I just caught your mention of chain work in the bench. That is something I really enjoy though it takes a bit something out of me if done for long periods of time. I've found that 6-8 weeks doesn't seem to stress me too much but getting upward of 10-12 weeks and my recovery seems to take a big hit. It'll be interesting to see how you progress with chains!

I have a 2 1/2" thickbar that weighs 100lbs empty that I sometimes like to employ along with chain work. The absolute rigidity of the thickbar, removing any bar whip along with the chains, using a close grip hammers the triceps like nothing else I've found. I actually ended up with a tricep 'strain sprain' from it!

    Great work, Mac.

Thanks, O. Looking forward to the future to see what Matt's programming does for me.
