I know, I kinda try to use reverse psychology on myself. I know I can do and will do it.

Brian, thanks man. I enjoy motivating and helping others. What are you up to now?

I took the last two weeks off after I found out my form was off.

My right knee was still hurting and I kept squatting. Still irritating it. So, to hopefully help it heal faster/better, I took a few weeks off. It felt really good this morning. Although, I could feel the pain I experienced two weeks ago. So today, I pretty much lifted to only get my technique down right.

I see that I am going to wide. As my warm up sets with the bar only, aggravated my knee. So I made slight adjustments until it stopped hurting. I believe it was about 4 sets later, I found what I feel will be the sweet spot. There was still a slight twinge in my right knee but, I think it was from the earlier sets. I'll test this out again Wednesday.

It was a light day. I did the 4 warm up sets with the bar and worked up to one set of 315lbs. One, I was running late and two, I didn't want to agitate the knee more. I did the same thing with dumbbell bench presses. Did the warm ups and one set of work sets at 75lbs. After that, I spent 15 minutes on the treadmill. I'm trying to lose this gut.

So, I need to talk with someone that can help me setup a program to include powerlifting/strength and weight lose.

    You should ask Matt Reynolds:

I've talked with someone else on the board and we've kinda setup (he guided me) to a diet plan to help cut fat and maintain/increase strength.

I'm hoping to start it next week so, I'll keep posting in here.

    Thanks for posting that though.

Did squats today. Everything felt great. I'm moving the pins do that I am facing away from the mirrors. It's still a learning process without using the mirror.

315X5X3 - I actually got to do all three sets. Felt great.

I didn't get to start the diet I wanted to this week but, I asked the wife to pick up everything I need today and might start tomorrow or the next day.

I think I may jump up 10lbs until I reach 350/60 again. Now that I am able to squat without my knees hurting.

    Squats:

    5X45
    5X45
    5X120
    3X190
    2X265
    5X3X335

    Bench Press:

    5X55
    5X60
    3X70
    2X75
    5X3X85

    Chinups:

    3X15
    (cable machine with 65lbs loaded)

    Back Extensions:

    3X15

Squats felt awesome as hell. I feel that I could've upped the weight by 20lbs rather than the 10lbs I'm doing currently. I know the last two reps in my last set were slow but, that was my fault as I leaned forward to much and had to grind them up. Minus the last two reps, my squats seem to be "there". I'm not sure if it was the rest, reset, or what but, it's clicking better. I know I'll hit the 5X3X405 before the end of the year. Maybe sooner. I kinda hoped to hit it before the seminar but, I'm not going to be able to. I'll be at 5X3X385 on June 6th, if I can maintain the 10lbs jumps.

I'll leave Friday morning around 4AM to head to Wichita Falls, so I know I won't do 5X3X385 then. I may not workout Tuesday either. I'd hate to be to sore to drive and/or to sore to do the training at Rip's gym.

I planned to do 5X3X95 (dumbbells) for BP but, I had no one around (that could) to hand it off to me. I'm still being cautious with my shoulder and even at 85lbs, it hurts to set it up for benching.

The chinups really made my bicep pump up.

The back extensions handed my ass and lower back to me. I felt faint and dizzy after each set and I felt like I was going to barf for about 20 minutes after. Luckily, I was done with working out and went home.

Glad things are grooving for you again :-) Congrats on the seminar...how exciting!

One thing...your notation drives me nuts. I'm pretty sure you mean 3 sets of 5, but you always write it like 5 sets of 3, lol. You're doing 3x5x335, meaning 3 sets of 5 @ 335, right?

Thanks. It's getting groovy for sure. Thanks again. Can't wait to get there. Studying for sure.

Ha. I'll fix it for you next time.

    Yes. 3 sets of 5 at 335lbs.

I'll start a new thread soon and actually keep up with it. The seminar has taught me soo much that, I'm not going to waste that knowledge in here. I will link to this thread but, I'll be posting in a new one.

Thank you to all of you that have posted in here an to those that lurked.

No, I'm still typing/editing it. I was going to try to post Friday or this weekend but, work has me catching up and still piling on new shit. I hope by mid-next week.
