So J, I finally got a Prowler on the way. I'll be joining in the "fun" in a matter of weeks.

Oh boy! Glad you can hop on the pain train too.

    Today's training:

    Bench: 205x3,225x3,255x5
    Chins: +50x5x3
    Dips: 5x15

Sweet. Went beastmode on bench today somehow. Last 3s day was 250x4, increased weight and reps today. Nice. I'll take it.
Chins and dips went smooth. Chins getting hard but should have another 5lb jump in me.
Dips gonna start doing weighted. Maybe rotate between 3x5 and high reps like I'm doing with chinups. Also I want to start working in pullups too, just cuz.

Man I can't wait to squat tomorrow. Here we go.

    Awesome day!

    Squat: 300x3, 345x3, 382.5x4
    GMs: 95x15,115x15
Situps on decline bench: bwx20, +10 (behind head) x 20

Squats were not easy, and not the prettiest, but I fought the knees out and it was acceptable for 4 reps, 1 over minimum. Alright.

GMs fucking SUCK. Gassing through the whole set. My low back has been hurtin since last Wednesday so I wanted to stay really light with these and get high reps, get some blood flowing and work the lower back a little more directly. Maybe back extensions would have been a better choice but they don't have a good back extension machine at my gym.

Abs were whatever. Gonna be fuckin sore I know that much.

    Prowler after:
    40m pushes with 140 lbs x 6
    About 1:00-1:30 rest between
These were just absolute survival at this point. It's hot as balls out today and I was already gassed after lifting. Felt like the damn thing was just sticking to the ground, like "NOOO I DON'T WANT TO MOVE!!!" Asshole.

All in all great day. Just pounded a shake with some 1% milk and gonna go jump in the pool and relax for a little bit. See some bikinis hopefully.

Feels like its starting to get to Texas heat levels, that is: fucking hot.

Ran hills today. Legs were already shit before. Felt like dying after. Couldn't have been safe on the motorcycle ride home. Hah.

8 sprints, 1:00-1:30 active rest (walking down the hill--or attempting to walk. More like a flail for balance).

    Garbage salad

    Press: 150x5, 170x3, 190x0

My low back is fucked up. Been hurting for about 2 weeks now, and felt worse yesterday and today. Bending down to tie my shoes or anything like that is a bitch.

Couldn't go yesterday due to gyms being closed, so I was hoping today my back would feel better. Still felt shitty, went to the gym and figured I'd see how it went after warm ups. The rower is out of commission at my gym so I didn't get to do my normal warmup routine with it. Started doing presses and couldn't get my hips forward as much. So I missed 190. I know I can get it though.

Tried to do light squats, shit wasn't happening. I don't understand how it got worse over the damn weekend.

I'm guessing the belt is what caused it. I had to go down a notch because I'm in the weird phase where the normal notch is too loose, but the notch I went down to is really tight, so that + deadlifts might have been bad mojo. So we'll see how this goes. I might just do some light stuff the rest of this week. Deadlifts are out of the question unless I'm miraculously healed by tomorrow. Bench might still be doable. Squats doubtful. Fuckin pissed cuz I was pumped for this week. Ah well.

Was looking back in my log at my old lifts. Fuckin Depressing. I might go back to high frequency again once I'm done dieting and once I get my garage setup. So end of July beginning of August. It was just too fun lifting every day. Definitely more my style.

I could probably get used to lifting 6x a week again after a couple weeks, then add conditioning. It'll make progress slower/harder but I think it could be done. I'd have to play around with it, but I'm sure it's doable. I imagine the lifts would just be a bit weaker for a couple days after conditioning, no big deal really. Could find a way to get it done. Lift 6+ times per week, condition 2-3 times per week. Sounds insane haha but I think it would self regulate. Week long deload as needed. I dunno, it just felt RIGHT lifting heavy and often. I miss having the weight on my back, and how it didn't even feel heavy when I had a max load on. I hate how I feel putting on 90%+ right now, it just feels so goddamn heavy.

And I have to admit, the Chaos and Pain thread is what got me thinking about this again. It works out logistically though. These next two months are going to be hectic anyway--going on a couple trips, moving, dieting--so holding off til August is a good plan I think.

Oh and I just found this great post that shares a lot of my thoughts from my time on high frequency stuff: http://ditillo2.blogspot.com/2008/04...y-ditillo.html

Fuck, I'm going back to it I don't care lol. Now I can't wait.

Yes! Do this. I don't mean to be a dick, but this log definitely needs to get back to the tone of badassery that drew me here!

You need this change, if it will get you back to this kind of stuff, man. Looking forward to hearing all about it!

Thanks for the push guys. I'll get back to it. I knew the first half of this year would be sketchy with the dieting I needed to do. I do not feel healthy at 20-25% bodyfat though, really.

    Todays lifts:
    Bench: 215x5, 240x3, 270x2
    Dips:+25x10x5
    Chins:55x3, 70x3, 80x1 - BWx10,10,7

Bench was pretty good, right around where I wanted to be. Dips surprised me. Thought 25 would be harder. Chins were cool.

Back is feeling slightly less shitty today. Tomorrow I'll at least get some light squats in. If it loosens up during that I'll go for the planned workout. Taking the light week next week to get this back taken care of.
