I played a vball game before. Truthfully, it tired me out for the workout. By the time I got to the gym, I didn't have my usual 90min. Just 60 so I tried to power through but I was tired. At the end, I only rested a min before bench sets before I called it quits. The "high end" gym was nice tho. They had bumper plates. Such a shame that I didn't get to them soon enough. Took friday and the weekend off. c'est la vive!

Bench: 122.5x4, 120x2x4
PC:105... felt like a ton of bricks even if it was a deload
So exhausted after squats. The bar felt so heavy even when warming up for the power cleans. 2 back to back volleyball games on tues did not help. I caved in and agreed to sub. Ok no more subbing until I am finished with SS! Eating 2 macdoubles after never felt so good.
Piglet didn't do so hot either. She hasn't been sleeping and her bf gives her a lot of stress. =( Will try to do the best we can.
Squat: 60# was struggling like crazy and GM the weight... I really can't progress any lighter with her..
Bench: 50x4, 47.5x2x5. It was so funny. She lifted the first 4 easily and all of a sudden... STUCK
DL: 100# Had to reset after every rep. Serious back rounding if we didn't do that. Even at 85 for a warm up she did that. She was really tired so we took it slow. Added chalk and mixed grip. That helps a lot. Her hands barely wrap around the bar.
Back for more tomorrow. Gonna feast on meat and rice and MAYBE another mcdouble. =X

Sq: 210... Forgot to change it to 5sets of 3 based on other's recommendations. I did the standard. I remembered that I was suppose to change the set up by the 3rd set. oh well.

Bench:50 yay! finally got all 5 reps. It was very strong and smooth.
Power clean: 15# aerobic bar. she can handle more weight for sure but I will take it slow with her on this.
Mini Rant: when I was training piglet, I had to put this loud mouth a*hole in his place. While Piglet was squatting her work sets he was yelling that she was going to break her back. Really motherfucker? Because I am watching and her back looks stable for me. Does he expect perfect form for a work set? Does she lean forward a bit? yes... but it is called LEARNING and working your ass off. We know why she does it but anything worth learning takes time and effort. And who fucking yells at someone's effort like that? That is just RUDE. I called this mother fucker out and said squat for me. Yes, you asshole. Right now. With her weights. Yup thought so. After I challenged him he completely ignored me and left us alone with his enlarged clit between his legs. It was a small gym so everyone heard the challenged and stared at him. =D I realize that actions shut people up far faster than words. Seriously, he knows that I have a better grasp at weight training than most yet he tries to talk shit to me rather than his heels elevated half smith machine squat buddies. Yeah, GTFO and know your place. I don't have time for idiots.

I went to train in my neighborhood in Crown Heights aka the gentrified ghetto, Brooklyn yesterday. I live in an interesting neighborhood. This is the only neighborhood which I know of that Caribbeans and Hasidic Jews live side by side. The interesting thing is not the mix of people but rather the fact that these people NEVER interact with one another. If I can imagine how segregated America was like, I assumed it was like this. It is just so fucking strange. It's like the other side does not even exist. Now I know part of the reason why. A lot of these Jews CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH. No... not that they speak their own slang or anything. They actually do not understand English and they lived here all their lives. This shit totally blew my mind. I was trying to exchange words with a Jew about the squat rack and he gave me the *blank face, nod head yes*. Then he got his buddy to translate for him. I was floored.
Learn something new everyday. Anywho... yday workout.

So she was pretty late to see me because a friend convinced her to have a drink. Yes, she had a beer before the workout. -_-' BTW, she even said that depends on the circumstances, 1 beer gets her tipsy... for fuck sakes.
Her SOHP was extremely wobbly and boarderline dangerous. As the weight went up the bar was shaking insanely side to side. I know for a fact that if she was stable, she would have man handled that weight. It is clear to me that her upper back and "core" is really lacking. That area probably inhibits her squat too. When the weight gets heavier... she almost always GM's the squat to some degree. It has been better, but it is a slow process. What can I do... I only go up 2.5#/ workout.
Guys if anyone can please chime in!!! I need help with her... I am doing the minimum increases but she is really not hitting all of her numbers workout to workout.... I am hoping power cleans will help... but I am not with her every freaking minute. I can only guide her through her workout. She is making gains but often times, we have to repeat the weight. Idk what to do... Really thinking of switching her to 3's. She has serious BF stress and I know is usually tired. I know she is vitamin D deficient but I can't make her take the supps. She knows what to do but is not doing it. BOO!

Would fractional plates benefit her? Just a suggestion because she's tiny, but it would allow for smaller increases (~$30-40 for a set).
I'm sure she'd have an easier time if she straightened out her shit outside of the gym, but that's easier said than done. I really admire your patience :-)
haah thanks. Actually I made ghetto fractional plates. I saw somewhere a link to bb.com where a guy made one from pennies. According to him 160 = 1#. I use 4 penny rolls = 1.25# and put them in a small envelope which then goes in a CVS plastic bag. I then tied a knot and loop it around the BB and voila! 1.25# on each side. I guess I could make them .75/side but I rather not. I am really thinking about 3s for her or just giving her a less stressful program. She is not in a hurry to get as strong as I think she can anywho. Working with other makes me take a second look at myself. Am I helping her get exactly what she wants? Or am I putting my agenda on her? I want her to be a beast! I think it will project in other aspects of life besides for the physical.
