Hehe...thanks for keeping the pressure on :-)...it was kind of a fluke that I discovered the new chin ability. My friend had all the kids doing them after dinner and I felt the peer pressure ;-).
Maybe tomorrow. And I've been forgetting the pre-spelling push-ups.

My experience when I could do 1-2, as you can, that doing them *all the time* was crucial. Keep 'em coming!

Rough weekend, little sleep. Two days prior I was doing landscaping all day. Great for my arms, but tiring.
Sun:
Squat: 110.5x5, 110.5x4, 110.5x2 I got scared of finishing because it was so heavy.
Ran out of time. Leaving to have lunch with my mom.
-
Wed--
Squat: 110.5x5x3!!!! Whew!
Bench: 74x3, 74x3, 74x3 eek. Well, I will do this again next time.
-
why? were you shooting for fives?
-
Yeah. I am still on 5x3 linear progression. Looks like it is slowing down. I have also been trying to stop the weight gain, and that may be a factor.
Not sure where to go from here, after linear progression really peters out.
I read about 5-3-1, but it sounded complicated. Maybe I just need to make time to go back to lifting 3 days a week.
Thoughts?
-
At least I found my current 3rm. :-) I would have to find my 1 rm to do 5-3-1, right?
-
would this be the first time you quote unquote petered out on yourlinear? if so, you would knock your weights back a little and work up again - not switch programs.
if you arent missing reps yet, you still got a bit to go before you even reset in the first place.
-
Yes it is the first time. I will keep at it. I felt proud that I didn't freak out at 110. It was heavy but went up.
Isn't only getting 3 reps considered "missing reps"?
-
Yes. I misread the first time. Sorry.
I am not your coach, but I think you are close to needing to reset on the press. No big deal. Let's see what happens after you try that weight again.
