Spoken as if your old!! Jeesh.

Feeling good, but stiff from last night. Lots of PVC and dwu.

    Deficit deadlift: 2.25”
    Up to 1x245, 1x265, 1x275, 1x285 (all time PR)
Pretty excited by the 285…its been a long time since I pulled anything close to PR. The 300 dream is alive and well. I was surprised this happened, Matt not so much Dude knows his stuff!!

    Squat:
    Up to 3x5x210, nothing special

    Circuit: 3x thru, no rest
    Weighted step ups
    GHR
    Reverse hyper
    plank

    sled/prowler: 4x thru, 75ft each way
reverse drag down/forward pull back (225)
    rest 30s
sprint prowler down and back (no rest, 140 1st run, 90 after that)
    rest 30s, repeat

Taking out that rest between sprints kicked my butt. Great training night!!

    Thanks!

    7/5/12
    PVC, dwu

    Press:
    Up to 1x100 (PR), 5x90, 4x90, 1x90
I fought so damn hard not to lose rep 5 of the second set at 90. Grrrr.

    2 board bench:
    Up to 3x2x145
Was supposed to be 2x3, but I barely eeked out the second rep of sets 1&2

    Crucifix hold: 15lb DB
    35s, rest 3 min, 30s
    Shoulders fried

Neutral grip chins: on the minute
    5x1xbw
    2xbw
    1xbw
    7xgrey band

    Circuit: 2x thru
    Push ups 10
    Inv rows 10
    DB lateral raise 10x12

    Prowler: 75 ft each
    6x90, 25s rest
    Alternate high & low handles

Beat. Felt harder than usual- really pushed main lifts. But another PR, so woohoo!

I don’t know what to say about today…nothing quite went as planned. I don’t have bad training days very often, so when I do, its especially hard mentally. Just have to move on.

    Squat:
    Up to 1x225 + 50lb chain, 1x245 + 50lb chain, 1x250 + 50lb chain
These felt very heavy, but form issues are better

    Trap bar deadlift:
    Up to 1x300, 3x0x315
I gave this everything, but could not get it up today. So frustrating.

Supposed to do 2 sled pulls, but decided to forgo and just focus on the medley

Medley: yoke, keg bear hug, farmers (40 ft each)
Warm up on yoke: 270, 360
    Warm up on farmers: 90

    Run 1: 400, 150 (fail)/100, 140
I went a little light on the farmers since these are never a problem for me and I was feeling so off. This might not look that bad, but I felt like I was going to die. My training partners finally convinced me to call it a day after this (I was flat out on the floor, lol). Run 2 did not happen.

Not sure what’s up with me today. It was really humid and pretty hot, but usually that just slows me down a little between sets. I actually feel bad for the guys I was training with today. I’m incredibly stubborn, so I just keep pushing. They had to convince me that I really wasn’t getting productive lifting done and that it was just messing with my head. Time to eat, rest, and get ready for redemption next week.

There is no way I'd be able to hold on to those kegs.

I prefer them filled with beer.

Well, next time you can empty it and I'll refill and carry it

    7/9/12
Still not feeling awesome, but possibly from doing work on our house rather than walking, rolling, and being chill yesterday. Sleep was junk too, not sure why.

    PVC, lots of dwu

    Push press:
    Up to 7x115, 9x105
A few of these had a little dip to get back under the bar. Was totally winded at the end- I might not have been breathing. Oops

Circuit: 3x thru, no rest, 10 of all
push ups, inverted rows, bb curls, band triceps pressdown
    Super arm pump, lol

prowler: 70 ft each, 4x thru
    High handles down
    Rest 10s
    Low handles back
    Rest 30s
    Repeat

140 first run, then stripped to sled only (too slow)
Super hard, but didn't realize just how hard until it was over

Tweaked my right elbow somehow with the prowler. Dope. Iced ASAP.

Back to feeling good decent sleep goes a loooong way

    PVC, dwu

    Deadlift:
    Up to 1x275, 1x300 (PR)
Shocked at how well that came up. Had another 5-10lbs I think, back held extension well. The guy I asked to record messed up somehow, so no video. Clearly I just have to beat this and record that

    Squat:
    Up to 3x5x215
Form back to normal, hard but doable

    Circuit: 3x thru, no rest
    Step ups 12x30
    GHR 10
    Rev hyper 10x50
    Plank 75s

Holy crap. Dripping sweat everywhere, lol

    Sled/prowler: 70ft each way, sled 180, prowler 90, 4x thru

Sled rev drag down/fwd pull back
    Rest 30s
    Sprint prowler down (upright)
    Sprint prowler back (low)
    Rest 30s
    Repeat

My legs didn't want to move, but I was breathing plenty hard. Feels good in a twisted kind of way.

Edit: I should point out that in 4.5 weeks of Matt's nutrition & programming, my deadlift is up 20lbs, press up 5, push press, bench, and squat moving up too (but not tested or I don't know previous PRs). All while dropping 2" off my waist. Pretty good progress by all metrics. Can't wait to see how far I can go!
