Default One-Side Loaded Barbell Floor Press saves the day

    No bench

    No spotter

Heavy barbell too heavy to unrack for floor press

    Dips hurt elbows

Can't microload unilateral dumbbell floor press

Weighted pushups are too damn tedious to set up

I was giving up hope on developing teh big pecs

    Then I saw this video

Thought what the hell, and tried it.

And by the gods, it worked. I set it up like i normally do for floor presses, except I only load one side. Use both hands to unrack the heavy side. I even lie on a couple of foam mats to extend my ROM. Feels way more stable then dumbbell presses and allows me to handle more weight.

I am so happy right now

Just get a bench. I like creativity and experimentation in exercises but this exercise looks more retarted than its worth.

If you insist on not getting a rack why wouldn't you just floor press from boxes just high enough not to crush you when deloaded? Don't say 'because i won't get enough rom'. You're already doing floor presses because you don't have correct equipment.
