    Default Limited time

    KSC,

First a quick thanks for your time.

I'm 33, working full time and with a new infant in the house (3 weeks old). My time is limited right now and I was wondering what your thoughts might be on the (temporary) program I've come up with and if you have any suggestions for something else.

Basically, I'm taking the squat, bench, and press and doing each for a goal of 5x5 once/week. I'm doing deadlift 1x5. This has allowed me to do 3-4 short workouts each week. While I don't anticipate significant progression on this schedule since my sleep is minimal, when I hit all 5 reps of every set, I've been adding another 5lbs to the bar. Current weight is:
    Squat 215
    Bench 185
    Press 125
    Deadlift 245

I think its fine. I often find myself on a routine like that due to the demands of work and family. Most of us only hve a short window of time where we can train uninterrupted and train on an optimal schedule. You might suprise yourself and make some really good progress.

To clarify, he's doing one exercise each day?

Yes. That's the way I understood it.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

And yes, one lift a day (most of the time). I often deadlift and press on the same day since doing only one set of deadlifts doesn't take much time.
