Default Anyone has used Leoko equipment?

I'm looking to buy some good equipment that is not made in China. The discs from Eleiko and Ivanko are made in China.

Apparently Leoko makes all there equipment in Europe. The castings are from somewhere outside Finland but still somewhere in Europe and everything else is done in Finland.

Has anyone here used Leoko bars, collars, and/or discs? What did you think?

They sure do look like they work in this video...

Why do you want to avoid chinese stuff so much?

Also, what makes you think eleiko stuff is made in china? All eleiko plates say SWEDEN on them in big lettering.

Because China is becoming the manufacturer of all and I don't want to participate in building their monopoly at the expense of the western world's affluence. Ideally I'd like to support my own country.

Their discs don't say "made in Sweden." Perhaps they used to but not anymore. Anyway Eleiko told me their bars and collars are made in Sweden but their discs are made in China.

E, Pendlay, Rogue, etc are all Chinese.

I would be very happy with Leoko plates.

Bud Charniga recently ended his relationship with Eleiko over quality control issues. The sleeve assemblies began to fall off the bars, and the bolts holding the metal parts of the bumpers together were falling out or shearing due to low-quality inelastic rubber. I don't know if Eleiko shifted its manufacturing to China or not, but to have the once gold-standard supplier of bars and bumpers go to shit does point in that direction.

That said, I'm going to go play with my lead toys and drink my tainted milk.

I have a bit of experience sourcing products in low cost countries, LCCs. You really need to know what you're doing so that your reputation doesn't get trashed. It gets very interesting after you receive your first delivery. If you don't visit at least twice a year with your own quality and materials people the foreign source will outsource your work inside their country to a lower cost source and pocket the cost difference. By the time this iteration reaches your customers you are hosed.

You wouldn't say this if you knew how much the prices on everything would go up, if everything was made in say America
