Default Researchers list best weight training foods

    For hardgainers only...

Though you should be warned, quiches and whole milk are completely devoid of beneficial nutrients.

By this point most participants on this forum are aware of the counter-factual usage of the word "nutritious" that's in vogue nowadays.

However, it takes a special kind of nutritionist to list
    21.Glucose
    as "nutritionally deficient".

Yeah...that honey... it has never done anything for anyone. No records of its use throughout history. Good thing a university stepped in before anyone wasted time on honey and milk.

And glucose...no one at that college needs glucose. They should be banned from it.

I realise that this list was to make out what items had poor calorie to nutrition ratio. By nutrition I guess they mean everything important that isnt raw energy, like protein, vitamins & minerals.

    18.Fried food

Seriously? how can you blacklist such a large food group. Placing nutritionally dense foods in oil makes them useless? A pan fried steak or fish must have enough nutrition to balance out the modest fat content

31.Nuts roasted in fat or oil

Nuts are loaded with their own oil, how can this even make a difference? Nuts are one of the most nutritionally dense foods you can find

    40.Regular sausages

Again, lots of great protein & minerals in there. A lot of the fat also comes out with cooking

    33.Pies

So a tiny bit of pastry nullifies any potential contents? Typical pies are full of meat (often organ meats) and vegetables

    48.Whole milk
Contains all the important nutrients to grow a mammal. Isnt even that much fat or sugar in it, compared to popular diet foods. But plenty of protein and other nutrients

    24.Hot chips

So cold chips are ok? WTF?

    19. Frozen yoghurt > Ordinary yoghurt
Yes, we all know how freezing stuff adds calories.

Seems like a simple list of foods youre better off not eating, and I agree with everything except glucose and whole milk.

    Fried food isnt unhealthy?

There are quite a few items on there that are actively healthy to eat.

It depends very much on what fat you are using to do the frying and whether you’re using a lot of refined carbs in the recipe.

At least we can still eat cookies, potato chips, and french fries.
