My first goal is to get below 330lbs. I spoke with a gentlemen at The University of Texas Austin about getting a Dexa scan. The site says 300 or less pounds. The machine can actually hold 350, but he says around that weight it is not very accurate. But, given my height he said get below 330 and we can put you on it.

    Body Comp Fit

I want to do this for curiosity more than anything else. I try measure tape methods and get wildly different results. One puts me at 28% another 38%. At my weight that is a huge different in lean body weight.
One difficulty i didn't expect was having to keep my arms straight down at my sides to stay within the scan field. It was only for about 5 minutes but it was kind of uncomfortable (i'm not THAT wide. 6" 255lbs at the time. ~48" chest). At the place i went they lashed my ankles together to prevent leg movement, but they didn't have anything similar for the upper body. Next tiime i'm bringing one of those yoga straps for my elbows.

Google says that there once was a "Madison Medical Imaging" but it looks like it was bought by these people: http://www.stdom.com/services/family...inics/madison/ . Anyway, i'm sure you can google just as well, i'm writing this response to suggest that if you have a doctor you can call him and ask for a place since some of these establishments just don't advertise to the public even though the machines are out there to be used for osteoporosis screening.

Holding steady at 240-ish. Moving back to a calorie-restricted Keto diet has been a good thing. I'm finally getting my squat depth sorted out after a year of very concerted effort, which is fucking rad.

    Do a little dance
    Make a little love
    Get down tonight

    Drum roll please....

    349.75 pounds

This means on my Seca sliding balance scale I got to move the heavier sliding weight from 350 to 300.

Still a long way to go, but getting to move that weight a little to the left was very motivational.

Down to 235 at about 22% BF. I'm taking some shit called 7-keto DHEA, which is a metabolite of DHEA and apparently ups your metabolism without fucking around with your hormones or some shit. Eating about 2000-2500 cal/day, less than 80 g carbs, doing 5/3/1 and popping a few benadryl before bed (apparently helps with controlling cortisol). Feels good man.

I think I am going to do another three weeks of something, but I haven't decided what the rules are yet.

I made weight on Saturday, but I had to do a water cut. I have ingested a ridiculous amount of carbs since then. I wouldn't be surprised if I weigh 77 kg tomorrow morning.

I'd rather hang out under 76. Cutting for meets is annoying.

Down to 173, think I am pretty much at my goal. 30.875" waist. Hopefully 10% body fat.

    Congrats on meeting your goal!

I'm happy to see this thread bumped as I'm getting back into cutting again. I'm not going to be a big dummy and combine PSMF and IF this time, I've lowered my training volume a bit too. I should be sub-220 and sub 20% body fat within two or three months.
