I always feel weird about buying knock-offs of quality products. Though I could afford this thing, if I had a place to use it, while I couldn't easily afford a Prowler.

Possibly, but unlikely. When I was trying to find one in a store, and striking out, I finally talked to someone who seemed knowledgeable. I think he said he was a manager. He said that Dick's bought out the Proviction name and was trying to clearance out all the Proviction sleds they had in stock. He said that they were in the process of re-releasing them as a Dick's product, possibly with a different paint scheme. He said they would probably be more slightly more expensive and that he had not heard of any timeline for their arrival. When I asked if he knew of any stores with them in stock within driving distance from me he said he hadn't heard of a store having one since Christmas and they weren't getting them anymore. I wasn't able to find a store with one in stock anywhere and they weren't able to order them anymore.

I enjoy my knockoff products. My hobbies are on a budget so I get what I can afford. I was going to build a wooden sled to save money, but they cost to make it as strong as I wanted was about $75. For that price I decided to buy metal.

Just finished 2 30 yard pushes @ 90lbs with my strength sled -- purchased from a site of the same name.

holy crap. I'm lifting heavy tomorrow so I didn't want to do a full workout, just wanted to get a feel for it, but even after 2 pushes in 85 degree weather, I had trouble keeping my McDonalds in place. And I don't glorify vomiting, but it is a pretty good indication of how intense this thing is, since I've been doing barbell complexes for months and I never felt the same way

    Damn it. It's 35 here.

My first prowler workout made me puke (6 x 30yd with 140 pounds added). I had never had that response to any physical activity in 42 years. I'm glad it was only the first time.

You must have gotten one of the last one's from Dick's. I saw it on their website a few days ago but it has since been taken down. If someone can find it can they post the link?

    Well damn.

Something told me to go ahead and order it yesterday. It isn't online anymore.

For the truth/record, I did not nor do not endorse this product. Someone probably posted in on the 5/3/1 fan page on Facebook. As a contributor to EFS (and was an employee for 10 years), I support the original Prowler. And that's the only one that I've used THUS the only one I can endorse.
