Our current occupant of the White House first lived on Mercer Island in Puget Sound (a pretty upscale place) in his grandparent's home while his mother was drawing food stamps as a student but living with her parents. No wonder he's the most successful President in pushing the program. Then when his mother married husband #2 he attended an exclusive school in Indonesia.

After his mother got tired of that arrangement, she sent him back to Grandma to live in Hawaii to attend another even more prestigious prep school. From there, he went to Occidental and later an Ivy League law school. Yeah, Obama can talk shit about out of touch. He who never had a real fucking job in his life.
Neither has a leg to stand on on this issue. Should be a dog eat dog election cycle.

    You don't understand.

It's funny because we know it's giving you an aneurism.

It's also funny because Obama (or his ghostwriter) is so out of touch, he thought it was fine to mention it way back when.

It's also funny because the Mainstream Media was so in the bag for Obama, this didn't come up in 2008.

But it's mainly funny because of the aneurism.

Standard practice in american political discourse is that the MSM kicks the shit out of the republican candidate with a series of trivial attacks. See, for example, the attack on Palin for not having an opinion of the "Bush doctrine", or for the use of crosshairs in pamphlets.

What's happening here is an online insurgency where the same tactics of mockery are being used on Obama, and left is really, really upset

Yeah, I'm certain Obama said the same thing, after finishing his Eggs Rover Easy.

    Here's a radical thought:

Why not just... stop? Challenge your political opponents on their policies? Just ignore all the trivial shit, and keep asking about the important shit.

But he did it first? Seriously? "Miss! Miss! He threw the first punch!" is something most of us left behind around about eight years old. How about you get your own guys to grow the fuck up. If the other guys don't follow, your guys get taken seriously while the other guys are held in general contempt, and you get to win the election. If you're really lucky, the other guys will follow and you get to have a democracy.

Someone has to ask President McCain how well that turned out.

Perfect. In my view, this shows that Romney learned from Gingrich's example. Gingrich shot up when he was going after Obama hammer and tongs, and dropped back down when he started to talk about himself. It's at least what the base wants. Most of the press will tilt the field for the D (see the John Edwards example), but if the narrative changes mainly to ridiculing Obama on his record or negativeness, Romney is likely to win. The speed with which Romney responded is the news. And Mrs. Romney's gracious reaction to Rosen's comment was no accident.

For the right, the media is actively ignoring them whenever possible, so it simply can't work. It has taken a while for them to realise this, though.

Nothing changes no matter who is running the show so we can only argue the ridiculous shit that doesn't matter. For some reason dogs always come up, Dems slammed Romney for putting a dog on his roof, Republicans slam Obama for eating them, I remember Guiliani was slammed because his mistress tested medical stapling devices on puppies. Dogs have a real place in Americas heart.

I swear if you took some regular dude and threatened to execute him or a 13 week old puppy. Americans can vote online anonymously on who to save, Americans would save the puppy (I think this was a movie)...
