Thread: Low Cholesterol Whey Protein suggestions?

  1. #1

Default Low Cholesterol Whey Protein suggestions?

Just curious if any of you guys have suggestions for whey protein powders that are a little bit lower in cholesterol. ON has 30 mg a scoop, and I don't want to deal with the risk of having high cholesterol as we have family history of it.

I was thinking about maybe Nectar whey protein, they claim to have 0 mg of cholesterol in it with 23 grams of protein per scoop. Anyone tried this before?

Anyone else tried other protein shakes with a lower amounts of cholesterol?

If so, post here with your suggestions!

Just a side note, please don't convince me to stop worrying about my cholesterol or continue taking ON Whey protein. As i will disregard those posts made.

Pretty much any brand of whey protein isolate should be cholesterol free, not that dietary cholesterol particularly matters. Isolates are more expensive, though.

Be careful with saying such blasphemy in this OP's thread. That resembles a statement convincing him him to stop worrying about his cholesterol.

Why do you care? I have seen many, many studies that show no link between dietary cholesterol and the levels in your blood.

I eat "proteins+" (unflavoured) all the time from Genuine Health; it's zero cholesterol.

After all the processing done to get whey protein, does it really matter?

    True......

....Would you guys recommend Dymatize or Gold Standard? I just realized I could give less of a shit about my cholesterol.
